The first thing you have to do is download, print and fill out the Freedom to Marry Form (click here). Once you have done this, please call Fr. Condron to make an appointment. It is recommended that you do this as soon as you decide to marry. Only after this form is completed will you be able to check availability of dates. Marriages usually take place on a Friday evening or a Saturday until 1:00 pm. No wedding may begin after 1:00 pm on a Saturday, and no weddings are permitted on Sundays.

Click on the following to view or print the complete Marriage Planning Sheet.

If you need a copy of the dates and places of the Engaged Couples Conferences, click on: www.hartfordflo.org. Engaged couples may register directly via email and will then receive confirmation and a reminder prior to the conference.

SACRAMENTS - MARRIAGE

The sacraments of the Catholic Church mark the most special events of our lives and are sources of grace for the faithful. The following information will help you in planning for the reception of the sacrament of matrimony (weddings).

WEDDINGS

In order to be married here at the Assumption, one of the persons being married must be a registered parishioner.

The Catholic Church requires that you prepare ahead for your wedding, preferably starting six months before the wedding. During that time you will participate in a Marriage Preparation Program, meet with a priest or deacon, attend an Engaged Couples' Conference, fulfill all the paperwork required for your wedding, and plan for the ceremony.
