Funeral Information

      Dear Friends in Christ,

      Right now you may be feeling great pain, emptiness, bewilderment and fear.  As your co-pastors and on behalf of our entire parish family, we promise you our prayers, our love and our support.

    Whatever we can do, however we can support you in this time of need, please do not hesitate to call us.  We want to help you.  We know that death is never an easy reality.  But we also know that God hears our prayers, comforts aching hearts and dries the tears of his children.

    The person whom you loved now rests in peace.  Join us in prayer for all the dead, that God will judge them in mercy and forgive their sins.  Join us in prayer for those of us who are left behind, that the Lord will strengthen our faith and lighten our loss.

    Below is the information that is needed to prepare for a funeral Mass at the Church of the Assumption.  If your funeral director did not give you these sheets, please print out the instructions, and complete the planning sheet.  Have the sheet ready for the wake.  If you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to call.

    Most of all, we promise you our prayers.  At daily Mass, in the chapel, and in the private prayers of each member of our staff, you and your beloved deceased will have a special place.  We are the friends of the Holy One who is mercy itself, who unlocked the gates of life for all who believe in Him.
